SMARCB1 Gene Mutation clinical trials at UC Davis
2 research studies open to eligible people

  • A Study of the Experimental Medicine Olaparib For Advanced Urothelial Cancer With DNA-Repair Defects

open to eligible people ages 18 years and up

This phase II trial studies how well olaparib works in treating patients with urothelial cancer with DNA-repair defects that has spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment. Olaparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

  • Experimental Cisplatin and Combination Chemotherapy in Children and Young Adults With Hepatoblastoma or Liver Cancer After Surgery

open to eligible people ages up to 30 years

This partially randomized phase II/III trial studies how well cisplatin and combination chemotherapy works in treating children and young adults with hepatoblastoma or liver cancer after surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, doxorubicin, fluorouracil, vincristine sulfate, carboplatin, etoposide, irinotecan, sorafenib, gemcitabine and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving combination chemotherapy after surgery may kill more tumor cells.
